Today I have as guest Rajender Singh Lahauria a successful professional and inspirational leader for a many including me. He is Executive Director with Airports Authority of India. Presently holding the post of Director, Indian Aviation Academy, Indian Aviation Academy, which is Joint venture of Airports Authority of India, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security and Directorate General Civil Aviation, all under Ministry of Civil Aviation.
He has been awarded International Airport Professional (IAP) Degree accorded by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Airports Council International (ACI). A person with multifarious skills and passion.
He is Marathon Runner and a passionate singer Apart from his initial brief experience in Police, He has an experience of 33 years in Aviation under various capacities with Airports Authority of India and has undergone various training in Aviation both in India and abroad. He was among the first ATC Officers to be trained and rated for Satellite Based Navigation and Communication system – ADS/CPDLC in India He has presented papers on working in constraint airport in Passenger Terminal Conference in Stockholm, Sweden in 2018.
He also presented papers on Safety in Aviation in International Conference on Safety in Mining organized by Indian School of Mines at Kolkata in 2013. His hobbies include singing where he loves singing songs of the famous Indian world fame Hindi singers like Md Rafi, Kishore Kumar and Mukesh. His YouTube channel named after him ‘Rajender Singh Lahauria’ is gaining popularity every day.
Apart from this he has passion for long distance running. From 5 to 10 and now he participates in half marathon of 21 Kms He is married to his beautiful wife Sukanaya who is an ex-Anchor in TV and now a professor in college. They have a beautiful grown-up daughter who is pursuing her graduation in business administration and would love to go in for flying career after her graduation. Rajender lives in New Delhi, India with his loving family.
