Welcome to another episode of the School of Noble Thoughts Show.

Today I have as Guest Ravi Soorya Kumar. He is a vocalist, songwriter, and featured artist with Saregama India for recreating retro Hindi Film songs. He is also a part of Indie Bollywood band Shoonya. Quoting in his own words, “Music is my passion, and over the years, I’ve enjoyed performing a versatile blend of styles including Bollywood, semi-classical, ghazals, and fusion”.

He has had the honour of representing the Indian diaspora at various events across the UK, including the Consulate General of India, and sharing the stage with some incredible artists of International fame. One of the highlights of his journey is performing with his band Shoonya on the Indian national reality series “Battle of Bands International”, produced by Doordarshan and Saregama.

By day, He works as full-time financial analyst — a role which he claims that challenges and grounds him in a completely different way. He lives in Solihull with his family. His daughter, who is a gifted choreographer and singer, and often joins him on stage during performances.

Outside of music and work, he is a big cricket enthusiast, a fan of gripping thrillers, and loves a good laugh with comedy shows on Netflix. Whether on stage or off, he believes in creating genuine connections — and music has always been his way of doing just that.
