Epic Speech by J.K Rowlings and Lessons Learnt

This epic speech by J.K Rowlings at Harvard Commencement has been one of the most inspirational speeches I have listened to. This has always helped me fight those moments of whenever I have felt down and felt the adversities over me in life .

She speaks so honestly about the poverty. The writer tells the truth about it. There’s no romanticizing of poverty. As she says, only fools do that. This situation entails fear, stress, and depression… “it means a thousand petty humiliations and hardships.” However, what she feared most for herself when she was young wasn’t poverty. It was a failure.

She so beautifully emphasises on the :

1.Power of Failure.

2.Power of Imagination.

3.Power of Empathy.

4.Power of great Relationships and Friends.

All of the above in the epic speech by J.K Rowlings are in themselves topics to be analysed and disected separately , I would want to write about in times ahead.
